VOCIFERATU - Outrageous Commentary

VOCIFERATU - Outrageous Commentary

This would be my first attempt at "blogging" and though I wish I could be posting this directly on your blog, it appears as if what I am doing is posting on my own blog. Regardless, hopefully by listing your name in the subject line you "Vocifratu" will eventaully find this comment and respond. I'll assume this is true and continue in a manner that should also serve as an introduction.
I was impressed by your comments enough so that I have created my own blog and hope to productively assist against what is, in my opinion, a self evident liberal bais in the Netscape community fostered by a liberal bias in the presiding organization. This is an assumption. I'll choose to operate under this assumption until someone proves to me that it is not the case. With regard to the situation involving "Ms. (or Mrs.) Ziegfriend", I lament that once she gave up the moral high ground and began engaging in insulting behavior, even if justified, and only reciprocal, it served no end if the net result was her in- abilty to continue communicating in this community. I'm sorry if that sounds sanctimonious, I mean it only to be pragmatic. If she is to find some consolation, it might be that, in reading about your situation, I have decided to, myself, become involved. I am educated and relatively well spoken(if not well written). Being also a committed conservative, I will do my best to fill some portion of the void created in her absense. I look forward to reading and commenting on many political issues.
I have learned, anger, be it righteous or otherwise is is only destructive. It serves no purpose but to its own procreation. It is the wedge that is further widening a fault in this country that is making us weak. Benjamin Franklin wrote "join or die" over two hundred years ago. At that time we were debating the very existence of a central governing body. Now it seems as if we are debating whether anything should exist outside that central governing body. The name of my blog is "Ford O phile" as it designates my commitment to promoting a 'productive' dialogue. By 'productive' I mean that our recently fallen leader gave me pause to remember a time when Democrats and Republicans were rivals and not enemies. The difference between the two is found in fostering a spirit of mutual respect. Respect that is born out of a recognition, no matter how difficult, of the others legitimacy. It seems to me that neither side of the debate is willing to begrudge any wieght to the others philosophy. This is statistically remarkable when the sides are so evenly divided in terms of population. To me I find it difficult to accept the liberal side of most debates, however,I find that a large number of people even within my own family find liberal arguments persuasive. I have forced myself to accept if not the line items of the debate than at least the power of the numbers of people who fall in line behind them. In my opinion, in the spirt of President Ford, I recognize that a reconciliation of these opposing ideologies is neccessary. The war between conservative and liberal ideologies in this country is on the verge of becoming physically violent. I have created this blog in reaction to Ms Ziegfried in that I hope we can all learn from her mistake. That in participating in this community we are utilizing an amazing gift to Democracy given to us as the unintended consequence of efforts to captalize on the internet, what is proving to be one of the greatest ideas /inventions in history. No matter how comforting it maybe to flame some jerk who in your opinion deserves it, you are only hurting yourself when you give in to vulgar insults and ignore your manners.
